The Spanish Government’s Ministry for Digital Transformation has taken note of the findings of four European sister projects, members of the EuroGEO GDDS Action Group, that sought to address this particular issue.
Day by day, the deadlines set by Europe for achieving sustainability targets are drawing nearer. Taking accurate, evidence-based decisions is becoming increasingly urgent, as it is the best way of making faster progress towards goals and remain competitive.
The GDDS has this precise objective: to facilitate data-driven decisions by integrating various data sources into a common, interoperable and open digital infrastructure.

The report consists of a set of recommendations in five major areas that seek to serve as a guide to the successful implementation of the Green Deal Data Space:
Now, based on these results and the preparatory actions developed in the GREAT project, the European SAGE project aims to turn this vision into reality with the aim of having an operational GDDS for European environmental data in place by the end of 2027.
