Unlocking the full potential of the Green Deal Data Space: Making environmental data work for Europe's green transition

Environmental data are crucial for achieving the European Green Deal, but remain fragmented and underused. The Green Deal Data Space (GDDS) aims to enable trusted, FAIR-compliant data sharing to support the green transition. Four EU-funded projects have developed key recommendations for its effective implementation, now consolidated to guide future action.

Effective biodiversity monitoring requires FAIR data and FAIR models for FAIR indicators

Monitoring the goals and targets in the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework will need to couple headline indicators with additional indicators.Open and FAIR biodiversity indicators will facilitate the sustainability and self-governance of indicators by Parties of the Convention of Biological Diversity over time.
